Rates and Insurance for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine
A 15 minute introductory phone call is required for all new patients to determine if the clinic is a good fit for you. You may schedule this call online or by contacting the office at 802-448-2283 to set up a dedicated time for the call.
If our phone call indicates that the clinic is a good fit for you, you’ll have the opportunity to schedule your free Initial Exam and Assessment. During that visit, you’ll receive your personalized treatment program, including all estimated costs.
Acupuncture and herbal medicine program costs vary depending on your goals and needs. The following are typical costs for care.
Acupuncture Programs
Acupuncture Initial Assessment and Treatment (75-90 minutes): $160
Acupuncture Followup Treatment (45-60 minutes): $120
A typical acupuncture program is an investment of $480-640 a month, depending on your treatment goals and needs.
Herbal Medicine Programs
Herbal medicine programs are typically 4 months long, with an investment of $500/month. This includes all herbal medicine visits (30 minutes), herbal prescriptions, and evaluations . The duration of the program may vary depending on your treatment goals and needs.
Acupuncture + Herbal Medicine Programs
Patients who would benefit from receiving acupuncture while on an herbal medicine program receive a 10% discount on cash-pay acupuncture sessions scheduled during that time frame. (Patients using insurance for acupuncture will pay their normal copay or coinsurance.)
FSA/HSA Cards and Forms of Payment
I accept all FSA and HSA Cards, as well as debit cards and all major credit cards.
Insurance
I am an in-network provider for acupuncture with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Vermont. Co-pay and co-insurance rates vary. Not all plans cover acupuncture: please call the number on your insurance card to verify whether you have benefits.
Insurance does not cover herbal medicine programs.
If you have acupuncture benefits through any insurer other than BCBS, I am happy to offer you a superbill to submit for possible out of network reimbursement of the treatment fee.
At this time, acupuncture is not a covered service for Medicaid (Green Mountain Care) or Medicare.
